Annual Martin Luther King Breakfast.  MLK Breakfast is held on the third Monday of January each year to pay honor to Dr. Martin Luther King and to the principles for which he lived and died. The other component of the MLK holiday is "The Day of Service" which fosters his legacy by transforming the federal holiday into a national day of community service grounded in his teachings of nonviolence and social justice. The idea is to make the holiday a day where people of all ages and backgrounds come together to improve lives, bridge social barriers, and move our nation closer to the " Community” that Dr. Martin Luther King envisioned.
